Play more Games at Leicester Gallery Thursday evenings from 7pm to 10pm You are cordially invited to drop in for an evening of games and modelmaking at Leicester Gallery.
Whether dipping your toes into the world of roleplay and miniature games for the first time or seasoned adventurer you’ll find our games night a safe haven in a stormy world. We will have a rotating selection of games set up for play including Underworlds, the new Kill Team edition Hive Storm, as well as the iconic Judge Dredd board game Block Wars. All set up and ready for y’all to test drive. For those whom prefer the roleplay side of table top there will be Dungeons and Dragons, and other roleplay games to engage in ready to play, as well as providing tables for games masters whom wish to bring their own worlds to the session. And there will be a library of roleplay games, indie and mainstream to explore. Alongside the play will be the serious business of making and painting miniatures. We will have a dedicated space for building and painting your miniatures. There will some paints and tools supplied to get you going, not to mention a free figure to hone your skills on! Over time we will evolve to meet the needs of our community as best we can through learning what you’d like us to provide. In time Play more Games will become not only the place where games can be played but where new games, worlds and universes will be built. As well as adventurers, dreamers and storytellers we are looking for a handful of trusty citizens to help us run our Thursday night sessions in a voluntary capacity. All are welcome at Leicester Gallery, and all are welcome for Play more Games at Leicester Gallery.
A User’s guide
1. Play more Games at Leicester Gallery is free and open to all: students, staff and everyone else.
2. Leicester Gallery is at the eastern tip of the Vijay Patel Building in De Montfort University. The best postcode to find Leicester Gallery’s MIl Lane entrance is LE27HX
3. For those attending Games at Leicester Gallery during 2024 there will be a 20% discount on all tabletop game products during the sessions. This includes all shop stock and any orders placed during the session for Warhammer products.
3. Leicester Gallery will supply all the minis, roleplay publications and boxed games you could wish to buy! But we don’t sell food or drink, so please bring your own snacks and drinks.
4. Alcohol is acceptable in the player’s provisions. Drunken, orc-like, bellicose behaviour is not.
5. The only rule is that everyone is welcome and entitled to feel safe and comfortable. Anyone not adhering to this axiom will be asked to leave.
Games at Leicester Gallery is part of a larger project called The Windswept Isle, a collaboration between Leicester Centre for Creative Writing and Leicester Gallery that explores the significance of roleplay games as a part of contemporary culture.
